It's A Big Bag World


I like big bags, and I can not lie! 




Finally, a bag trend I can get into! Oversized bags have been my go-to accessory since my teen years. While small to medium-sized bags have their place and purpose, I always felt most comfortable with an oversized bag.

I can only use big bags when I need to throw many items into a bag. I like to travel, and I prefer oversized bags when I pack. They’re the bags I need for my overpacked life. And now, the fashion trend has swung back to oversized bags.

Oversized handbags are trending again and well, hallelujah, the world is once again feeling New York City! We don’t have cars (or trunks or glove compartments) to stash our daily lives, so we carry our entire lives with us at all times in oversized handbags all day. Totes, hobos — authentic handbags, not like overnighters or duffels, because that’s weird.

Oversized bags are not only practical but now, evidently, they’re super on-trend and stylish as ever.

(See, when I worked in LA for years, all my colleagues joked that they knew I was from New York because I didn’t carry a delicate tiny handbag for a single lipstick and my phone. Whatever, LA. I’m getting a lot of exercise walking around town with my big NY handbag.)

Ahem. So anyway.

This time of year, it’s nice to indulge in a brand new handbag to freshen our tired winter wardrobes and get us excited for the “let’s get out more, it’s spring!” time that will be coming up before you know it. Hopefully, that plus a new mascara, and you’re golden.
